Aurora
Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using lowercase letters, such as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 it received a raving review from music blogs as well as the media. The singer has released two top-of-the-line covers Half the World Away by Oasis. Oasis for a Christmas advertisement from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry posted a video where she was announcing her endorsement of Runaway. This brought her some recognition. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory was of discovering an attic piano and being awed by the music it could create. Parents May-Britt along with Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to pursue music not as an occupation or pastime but as a way to develop. This led to her started writing her own music. Her influences include renowned writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her affinity with Bjork's style. After her mom told her that her songs would not just help her achieve fame however, they could also help others understand their importance within the global community and see the possibilities for her songs She decided to start performing publicly. The piano was her first instrument at age six and creating music when she was nine. The fact that she was a musician wasn't known by her family until she reached the age of fourteen. The dream was never to become Aurora. The only thing she loves is to write music. She says that music is her favorite way to feel anything.
